The Raconteurs put finishing touches on new album

The Raconteurs have announced that they have nearly completed recording their new album.

Jack White's side project, which also features Brendan Benson along with The Greenhornes' Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler, has been in Nashville's Blackbird studio working on the follow-up to 2006's 'Broken Boy Soldiers'.

In a posting yesterday (February 14) on their MySpace page, the band wrote, "The Raconteurs are currently finishing up their second album in nashville, tn. They promise to release it as soon as they can."

No further details were revealed.

the last one was really good, i hope this will be just as good!

cant wait. hopefully they will play reading festval again this year, saw them there in 2006, brilliant.

The white stripes are a pretty class act, havent heard much of these though.
